You may decide to book with us right away, or choose to first meet in person. An initial meeting provides an opportunity to get to know one another, discuss your ceremony ideas and thoughts, and learn more about legally getting married in Australia.
With a little help from you, we will complete all the legal marriage documentation, ie the Notice of Intended Marriage, which must be completed and lodged with your celebrant no later than 31 days before your intended marriage date.
You will need to have available your original copies of your proof of date and place of birth (passport or birth certificate) as well as photo ID and any documents of dissolution of previous marriages.
Our aim is to ensure your ceremony is everything you imagined it to be and, most importantly, is an accurate reflection of you both as a couple. Ceremony creation is collaborative process and we are guided by you- we can give you as much or as little support as you need. We both have creative writing backgrounds and can tailor the tone and content to match your desired ceremony style. We want you and your guests to find the ceremony engaging and an enjoyable part of your wedding day.
Many couples are comfortable in us simply directing the ceremony on the day, whilst others may choose to have a ceremony rehearsal. The rehearsal can just be the three of us, or you can bring along the bridal party and any family members. This is an opportunity to finalise the details of your ceremony and make sure you are entirely comfortable with how it will run on the day.
We aim to make your ceremony atmosphere relaxed and enjoyable for all attending. When we arrive we interact will all your suppliers on-site, working with them to ensure smooth and well-coordinated proceedings. We conduct your ceremony using a portable, cordless PA system, and attend to the required legal paperwork both during and after the day.
